Australian Free West Papua campaigners are urging the Gillard Labor Government to break with over 40 years of successive Australian governments' policies of 'turning a blind eye' to the human rights abuses that continue on our doorstep in West Papua.
Since the Indonesian military occupation in the 1960's it is estimated that over 100,000 West Papuans have been killed. It's time for Australians to stand up for our West Papuan neighbours and defend human rights.
Please register below and your name will be added to a list of concerned Australians that will be sent to Prime Minister Gillard urging her to push for international media access to West Papua and the establishment of a human rights monitoring program. We will then also keep you informed about what else you can do for West Papua in the future.
